Ubisoft have announced that the first big expansion for its latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Black Flag, will be available for console owners on December 17th. The DLC, titled Freedom Cry, will allow fans to take control of Adewale, first mate of Black Flags Edward Kenway, as he embarks on a quest after being shipwrecked fifteen years after the main games campaign.
The DLC will feature 9 missions as well as allow fans to take control of two new weapons: the blunderbuss and machete. Ubisoft also claims the content to last upwards of four hours.
The release of December 17th should be for all console iterations of the title but a Wii U or PC release has yet to be announced. Freedom Cry is included in the Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag season pass and no price has been mentioned for a separate individual purchase.
