Today Microsoft Game Studios announced a new entry in its fan favorite and console selling franchise, Halo: Spartan Assault. The game will be a top down shooter made exclusively for Windows 8 Phones and Tablet devices. Playing as a Spartan gamers can find new historic battles to relive and campaigns to train in, honing their skills while using longtime Halo vehicles such as the Warthog or Banshee. The game will feature quick battles with fast action while also allowing fans of the series opportunities to complete daily objectives and unlock additional content for Halo 4 and Halo Waypoint.
For many Halo: Spartan Assault won’t mean much, but for those that own a Windows Phone or Tablet, this should be a nice little game to waste some time on. With Fable Anniversary and now this, I wonder why Microsoft isn’t just holding out one more week to name these off at their E3 conference? The more games, even just by name, the better your conference seems to most.
