Quick Bits! “2012 Gaming Spectacular Post!”

Well another Monday is winding down and another week is under way, but this isn’t just another by the numbers week! Oh no! This is a kickass one! This is the week CA! spoon feeds you amazing content as well as slaps you in the face with ridiculous prizes and contests! This is CA!’s 2012 Gaming Awards Spectacular! Counter Attack was birthed on WordPress in the middle parts of 2012, an though its still a baby, I hope that you folks have at least somewhat enjoyed the content I have provided since I jumped on board in October, and then were pleased by the new coat of paint in November. (speaking of which, cool new pac man banner right? Doing his own lil counter attack on those sneaky ghosts!)

So to celebrate the end of the year and our first 7 months of internet stardom CA! will be striving to post more content more frequently this week, content such as reviews for games like Hitman Absolution, Halo 4, WWE 13, Metro 2033, Sleeping Dogs, Towns, Guild Wars 2 and more! (Hopefully my fingers and mind don’t break!) We will also be posting CA!’s 2012 Gaming Award’s winners in categories such as “Best Downloadable Console Game” “Best Story of the Year”  “Best Multiplayer Title” and of course “Game of the Year” in hopes that you, dear readers, find new entertaining and worthwhile games that you may have otherwise missed.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! Starting today, if you post any comments in the articles posted this week, you get your name put into a raffle. These raffles will be for prizes on Steam and will include wondrous gifts such as individual games, bundle packs and Dota beta invites. I am sorry for console only players, but with my limited cash (read: no job) this is the best I can do right now. Future contests will be much more elaborate and head exploding, but these will still be full retail titles flying at your face free of charge! I only ask that you become a vocal member of the CA! community. So that’s the news and the lowdown on future content…ONTO THE BITS!

Theatrhythm News Incoming A teaser site hinting at a surprise announcement has popped up from Square Enix regarding the small wonder Theatrhythm. Theatrhythm is a 3DS rhythm title that blends RPG mechanics with rhythm game tropes, all to the spectacle of classic Final Fantasy music. The game earned positive reviews and now a sequel or iOS port may be in the works. The site doesn’t give much more info other than “Coming Soon” I would love an iOS port since I no longer have my 3DS, but a sequel for fans would be nice as well.

Sport With Friends All signs were pointing to the little indie pack darling of Sportsfriends to not hit its Kickstarting goal of $150K, but in its final moments the bundle just barely snuck by its goal, with an ending amount of $152 thousand. The PS3 and Windows bundle includes the cult indie game Johann Sebastian Joust as well as Barabariball, Super Pole Riders, and Hokra. Each multiplayer centric titles and each fun.

Gamefly Does It Again! I always talk Gamefly’s sales up, and each week they prove me right! AHA! This week Gamefly is having a PC Download sale with titles such as the new and excellent XCOM for $24.99, Telltales Walking Dead for $12.49 and you can also nab both The Witcher 1 and 2 combined for a low cost of $20! Do it now!

Change the Bioshock Infinite Cover Earlier this week the Bioshock Infinite cover was revealed, much to the dismay of fans. Most say the cover is generic, and it is, but its that way to help make money. But Irrational Games front man Ken Levine has told fans that they will be putting up various art work so that fans themselves can create their own covers once the game arrives. I just want the Songbird heavily featured on mine, that’s all.

iOS Pokedex Nintendo has made its first move onto the App Store! Is it Mario? Metroid?! ZELDA!? no…its a Pokedex…coo…I guess…thats right people, you too can now take your pokedex with you wherever you go. Paying $1.99 you will get access to over 640 Pokemon and info on their evolutions and regions, even though you can do that online, or within the games themselves.

Well that’s it people, its late, and Hero Academy keeps calling me. I hope you learned a little and I hope your stoked about this weeks extra content and giveaways! Please keep coming back and Liking, Commenting and reading, it gives us a boost and helps make our day! And remember to comment on news and reviews this week, at the bottom of eligible articles there will be a message reminding you. Have a great week people!
