Far Cry 2 was an interesting game, it featured a unique setting with Africa, a full commitment to the first-person perspective, and an open world in which to move about however you liked. It was a slower paced, more realistic take on action then most shooters these days, and while not every aspect worked, it was still a great experiment. Now the folks at Ubisoft are seemingly blending the best bits from Far Cry and Far Cry 2 to make what looks to be the best installment of the series yet. Set on a series of islands, you must survive both the harsh wildlife, as well as the crazy denizens that inhabit the small pieces of land. Ubisoft announced Far Cry 3 at E3 2011, and it instantly stuck to people’s radars, and for good reason. Showcasing beautiful graphics, wild gunfights, rpg elements, and one of the most exciting villains in recent memory with Vaas, Far Cry 3 looks to be one of the best shooters in years. Do yourself a favor and keep an eye on this much anticipated release set for December 4.
