Its Wednesday so that means its about time for another Supply Point! This season’s games have been quite violent and hectic, with titles such as Borderlands, Max Payne, Dark Souls, and Hitman; the virtual worlds have been fairly dark and crazy…so why not continue that trend! This week I am offering up Two copies of Primal Carnage, a multiplayer focused man versus beast blast for the Steam platform.
I originally reviewed the base Primal Carnage game back in January, delivering upon it a “Good” score. While the game offered up a unique premise with well balanced classes for both the Human and Dino side, the title itself lacked in the content department, with only Team Deathmatch and a select few levels to enjoy. Since then however the team at Lukewarm Media have updated the title several times, adding in new environments to enjoy as well as a new mode of play, on top of some free and paid additional skins for each class.
These additions have helped give Primal Carnage some extra oomph and are also just the beginning plans for Lukewarm Media. The team have also announced a single player Primal Carnage called Genesis that will launch on the PlayStation 4 platform, improving the series popularity and giving it a much stronger base to stand, and giving the team further power to improve on the multiplayer side of the franchise. The studio is currently going through every level in Primal Carnage and rebalancing and fixing up any bugs they find as well as working on at least three new maps and a new multiplayer mode for fans to try out. These improvements will be released later this year for free for fans to enjoy.
The consistent drive for improvement from the Lukewarm team keeps Primal Carnage at the top of my multiplayer favorites list. It offers up a unique experience in the overcrowded online FPS genre and deserves to be more popular than it currently is. Also, it has freakin dinosaurs!
To enter simply answer the following question: What is your favorite dinosaur? An answer puts you in the running to earn a copy of the title not only for yourself, but also one to gift to another. Two copies so you don’t venture on the island all by your lonesome. After all, its dangerous to go alone! Especially onto a dino infested island out in the middle of nowhere! A winner will be chosen late Sunday so get your comments in now.
